Mae’r gacen yma’n debycach i dorth deisen neu deisen doddion. Fe’i gwneir trwy ychwanegu cynhwysion at does cyffredin. Fe allech chi ddefnyddio toes bara gwyn, ac ychwanegu’r cynhwysion at hwnnw.

Mae torth bedair yn pwyso 4 pwys, ac felly mae’n debyg y byddai angen 2 bwys o does ar gyfer y rysáit yma. Fe allech chi haneru’r mesuriadau isod a defnyddio 500g / 1 pwys o does bara masnachol .

Does dim sôn am yr amser coginio na’r gwres, ond os dilynwch chi’r amseriad a’r gwres sydd eu hangen i wneud torth 1 pwys (neu 500g) dylai hynny weithio – oddeutu 35 munud ar 180°-200° (llai ar gyfer ffan).

Dyma’r rysáit

Dau bwys o does – cymysgwch 2 wy ynddo ac yna 4 owns o fenyn a 2 owns o saim. Curwch y toes tra mae’n eithaf oer. Yna rhowch ½ pwys o gyrens, 6 owns o siwgr ac ychydig bach o sbeis. Peidiwch â rhoi dim hylif o gwbl.


Trawsgrifiad y ddogfen wreiddiol

Half quartern of dough – mix 2 eggs with it first then 4 oz. of butter and 2oz. of lard. Beat into the dough quite cold. Afterwards add ½ lb currants, 6 oz. sugar and a small quantity of spice. No liquid of any kind.
